tidyr:Tidy Messy Data
Tools to help to create tidy data, where each column is a variable, each row is an observation, and each cell contains a single value. 'tidyr' contains tools for changing the shape (pivoting) and hierarchy (nesting and 'unnesting') of a dataset, turning deeply nested lists into rectangular data frames ('rectangling'), and extracting values out of string columns. It also includes tools for working with missing values (both implicit and explicit).

unpivotr:Unpivot Complex and Irregular Data Layouts
Tools for converting data from complex or irregular layouts to a columnar structure. For example, tables with multilevel column or row headers, or spreadsheets. Header and data cells are selected by their contents and position, as well as formatting and comments where available, and are associated with one other by their proximity in given directions. Functions for data frames and HTML tables are provided.

rdyncall:Improved Foreign Function Interface and Dynamic Bindings to C Libraries
Provides a cross-platform framework for dynamic binding of C libraries using a flexible Foreign Function Interface ('FFI'). The FFI supports almost all fundamental C types, multiple calling conventions, symbolic access to foreign C 'struct'/'union' data types and wrapping of R functions as C callback function pointers. Dynamic bindings to shared C libraries are data-driven by cross-platform binding specification using a compact plain text format; an initial repository of bindings to a couple of common C libraries ('OpenGL', 'SDL2', 'Expat', 'glew', 'CUDA', 'OpenCL', 'ODE', 'R') comes with the package. The package includes a variety of technology demos and OS-specific notes for installation of shared libraries.

gretel:Generalized Path Analysis for Social Networks
The social network literature features numerous methods for assigning value to paths as a function of their ties. 'gretel' systemizes these approaches, casting them as instances of a generalized path value function indexed by a penalty parameter. The package also calculates probabilistic path value and identifies optimal paths in either value framework. Finally, proximity matrices can be generated in these frameworks that capture high-order connections overlooked in primitive adjacency sociomatrices. Novel methods are described in Buch (2019) <https://davidbuch.github.io/analyzing-networks-with-gretel.html>. More traditional methods are also implemented, as described in Yang, Knoke (2001) <doi:10.1016/S0378-8733(01)00043-0>.

brxx:Bayesian Test Reliability Estimation
When samples contain missing data, are small, or are suspected of bias, estimation of scale reliability may not be trustworthy. A recommended solution for this common problem has been Bayesian model estimation. Bayesian methods rely on user specified information from historical data or researcher intuition to more accurately estimate the parameters. This package provides a user friendly interface for estimating test reliability. Here, reliability is modeled as a beta distributed random variable with shape parameters alpha=true score variance and beta=error variance (Tanzer & Harlow, 2020) <doi:10.1080/00273171.2020.1854082>.
